Tip For
Motorcycle Riders
Choosing a
motorcycle is sort of like choosing a bottle wine (albeit in a
different price range). It doesn't really matter if some kinds are
recognized as better than others because, in the long run, you
should go with the one you prefer -- regardless of what the
critics say.
When
purchasing a motorcycle, you'll most likely compare
characteristics like handling, speed, luggage space, and overall
appearance, among other factors. The options are practically
endless, but you can generally choose between the following types
of bikes: touring, sport-touring, sport, standard, cruiser, enduro,
dual-sport, and off-road, all of which have their own offshoots.
In addition,
each kind of bike comes with its own riding attitude and
obviously, its own riding gear and accessories. A dude riding a
Harley will generally not sport the same biking outfit and
accessories as a guy riding a Ducati sports bike, for example.
They probably wouldn't hang out at the same joints either, but I
digress...

This Fashion
Tip caters to the gentleman who thrives on speed and performance
rather than comfort and thunderous pipe sounds -- with that in
mind, I've selected some stylish gear and accessories for the
sports bike enthusiast.
Shoei
RF-1000 metallic helmet
When selecting a helmet, you should consider safety and fit above
all, but you must never neglect style. Ideally, your helmet should
offer a snug and comfortable fit, be Snell and DOT rated (the
highest standard for helmet safety), and boast impeccable styling
that matches the rest of your riding gear.
Shoei's
RF-1000 combines safety, fit and style. Its shell is made from
AIM+ material, making it lightweight, and the helmet offers a
perfectly aerodynamic design. It also boasts an unmatched
ventilation and antifog system, removable interior cheek pads and
a sturdy chinstrap that can be removed to allow cleaning or
replacement. Its three-dimensionally curved shield offers
increased peripheral vision, optical clarity, and 100% protection
from UVA & UVB rays.
The Shoei
RF-1000 comes in anthracite, axis yellow, black metallic, light
silver, deep gray, pearl gray, royal blue, and wine. Other good
brands for motorcycle helmets include HJC, Arai and Nolan.
AGV laser one-piece riding suit
Leather is the way to go when it comes to motorcycle gear. Not
only does it look rugged and cool, but it's also the best in terms
of protection. Made from 1.44 mm premium cowhide and featuring
double- and triple-stitched seams in all high impact areas, this
one-piece leather suit is a real treat for the eyes and, more
importantly, it's easy to slip on (and off).
The AGV
riding suit offers a ventilated design with Schoeller Kevlar
Keprotec stretch panels inside the sleeves and behind the knees
for added comfort, and plastic knee cups and sliders for added
protection. Choose between black/gunmetal, blue/gunmetal,
red/gunmetal, and yellow/gunmetal.
From a
leather jacket to cool boots, don't get on that bike without these
items...
